Big Things Are Coming! - Bookcast Newsletter

Big Things Are Coming!

Hey there Reader,

Somehow we've made it to November! First of all, thank you for helping us celebrate our 4th birthday October - it was a great month of conversations and a time to look back at where we've been.

But now it's time to look ahead! Over the next month or so, we're rolling out some stuff we're really excited about and hope you will be too!

You've been seeing this new Read LOKal logo across our social media. This new brand represents the heart of the Bookcast - celebrating the literary life of Oklahoma. We're doing a couple of things with this brand.

  1. Read LOKal merch is coming soon! We had hoped it would be available by 11/1, but not quite yet. Watch social media and this space for our merch drop in the next few days!
  2. In January we are launching a new newsletter just for releases from Oklahoma authors. Read LOKal will come out monthly and feature all things Bookish Oklahoma with a focus on new releases and bookstore events. If you are an Oklahoma author with a book coming out in 2026, let us know about it so we can add you to the newsletter: Read LOKal Newsletter Submission.

Finally, in my Bookcast Birthday video, I mentioned that we will be adding new opportunities to support the show. You can always support us by buying books through our shop at Bookshop.org or the links in our show notes, but we are adding a direct means of support through Buy Me A Coffee. If you love the Bookcast and want to support us directly, you can make a single or monthly contribution via our Buy Me A Coffee page. The site is secure and we receive 95% of your contribution. And remember, 10% of everything the Bookcast earns goes back into the community through our support of literacy initiatives in Oklahoma.

Thanks for being a part of our first four years! There are a ton of exciting conversations and opportunities on the horizon!

Go find something good to read!
